Right When We’re Wrong
The light says Don’t Walk,
What are they walking for?
Her eyes say don’t talk,
What is he talking for?
Walking against the light,
Talking around a fight,
Seems like we’re almost right,
right when we’re wrong.
The sign says No Turn.
Why is he turning now?
Folks say “She can’t learn.”
Why is she learning now?
Turning against the grain,
Learning to dance through rain,
Sometimes we can’t explain
our right from our wrong.
Sometimes the wrong road
leads the right way,
Sometimes the wrong words
know just what to say
Another day says “I’m done.”
When does an old day end?
A new night has just begun.
Where does a night begin?
Finding a day that’s night
Finding a wrong that’s right
And every sky shows us how
right wrong can be.
Right when we’re Wrong
Right can be Wrong
