Just Want to be Alone  - ListenHere

Well, we push when we pull we fall down and get up

and there’s always a “we” when we’re down

The moon sees us drinkin’ and talking and thinking

and we’re still close together at the break of the sun

It’s not that I don’t want to do my part, pull my weight or push that cart

I know that it seems like the only solution’s to build us a commune and start the revolution

but sometimes, you see, I just want to be, I just want to be alone

We dig out a ditch then we fill it back in

then we lean on our shovels for a spell

We march when we walk ‘cause we’re always in step

We think we’re in Heaven but I think we’re in Hell

It’s not that I don’t want to do my part, pull my weight or push that cart

I know that it seems like the only solution’s to build us a commune and start the revolution

but sometimes, you see, I just want to be, I just want to be alone

We share what we use and we handle with care

It’s all for one and one for all

We shoulder each other like sister and brother

but sometimes I hear that little voice call

It’s not that I don’t want to do my part, pull my weight or push that cart

I know that it seems like the only solution’s to build us a commune and start the revolution

but sometimes, you see, I just want to be, I just want to be alone
